XXpress Moving & Furniture

Wichita moving with the furniture side handled right

Xpress Moving & Furniture is a Wichita crew built around two jobs that usually get split between different companies: the move itself and the furniture that comes with it. We load trucks, but we also deliver pieces bought locally, put flat pack furniture together, and carry it up apartment stairs without cutting corners.

About

About Xpress Moving & Furniture

Garrett started Xpress Moving & Furniture after years of noticing the same gap on every job site: movers who would not touch assembly, and furniture delivery drivers who dropped a box at the curb and left. Wichita families and renters were stuck hiring two different companies for what should have been one visit. Garrett built the crew around doing both properly, whether that means loading a whole house in College Hill, delivering a mattress to a Riverside apartment, or bolting a bed frame together in a rental over on the west side. The standard on every job is the same: show up on time, protect the walls and floors, and leave the furniture exactly where it was asked to go, put together and ready to use.

Questions

What people ask before booking

How far ahead should I book a move in Wichita?

Two weeks is usually enough for a local move. The end of the month and the weeks around a lease turnover fill up faster, so if your date is fixed, call as soon as you know it.

Do you deliver furniture that was not bought new?

Yes. We regularly pick up a couch or a dresser from a private seller's driveway or a secondhand store and carry it straight to your place. Send us the pickup address and a photo and we will size the truck and the crew for it.

Can you assemble furniture without moving anything?

Yes, assembly stands on its own as a service. Plenty of Wichita customers order a bed frame or a bookshelf online and just want it put together correctly rather than left in a box in the garage.

What happens if the wind picks up on move day?

We watch the forecast and plan around it. Loose paper, lightweight boxes, and anything that can catch wind on an open truck bed get secured or loaded first. A gusty afternoon in Kansas is not unusual and it does not stop the job.

Do you handle apartment moves without an elevator?

Regularly. Stair carries take more planning than a driveway move, so we ask about the building and the unit number ahead of time and bring the right number of people for the flights involved.
